This 1 litre (10 cups of 100ml) cafetière displays a simple, straightforward style and will enable you to quickly and easily prepare French Press style coffee with the most amazing aroma and flavour. In fact, it is often the method used by coffee tasters to determine the quality of the coffee beans as only the essential oils of the freshly ground coffee are extracted, leaving minimal sediment in the cup so you get the best out of the bean. Easy to use, simply add ground coffee, pour in just-off-the-boil water, stir, wait 3-4 minutes and then gently depress the plunger to stop the brewing.
It is made of heat-resistant borosilicate glass with a black polypropylene frame which helps to protect your surface from the heat and has a highly durable stainless steel filter and plunger. It is so versatile that, as well as being primarily for use at home or in the office, it is also great for taking with you on camping trips, picnics etc if you have a boiling water source, as you do not require a power supply. It also has the added advantage that it creates no waste, such as paper filters or capsules, other than the coffee grounds which can be composted.
