KNIFE SALE POLICY IN THE UNITED KINGDOM

Legal basis: Offensive Weapons Act 2019 (“OWA”), associated regulations, Home Office Guidance on the Sale and Supply of Knives, and applicable UK consumer laws.

1. PURPOSE

Our goal is to make sure that knives and other bladed products are sold and delivered safely, responsibly, and in full compliance with UK law, especially the Offensive Weapons Act 2019.
This policy explains, in clear terms, how we verify age, how deliveries work, and what customers need to do when buying age-restricted items from Tramontina UK.

2. RESTRICTION

You Must Be 18+ to Buy Knives.

UK law requires us to make sure that knives and bladed items are never sold to anyone under 18. We will verify your ID upon delivery to ensure you are 18 or older.

3. DELIVERIES AND CARRIERS

For all shipments containing age-restricted items (e.g. knives), we will use a mandatory adult signature delivery service. Our delivery partner will require a signature from an adult (18+) on delivery before handing over your shipment. Please note that our delivery partner operates a Challenge 25 approach, meaning that if the recipient is lucky enough to look under 25, the driver will request to see a government-issued ID before handing over the shipment.

If no adult is available to receive the parcel:

The driver will return the parcel to the carrier’s depot.
A second delivery attempt will be scheduled.
If the second attempt fails, the order will be returned to our warehouse.

Once the item returns to us, delivery fees cannot be refunded, and return costs may apply.

Our delivery partner is unable to leave age-restricted items with a nominated neighbour or at a safe location, nor deliver the item to a collection point or lockers.

4. CATALOGUE, CONTENT, AND PROHIBITED PRODUCTS

Our products are intended for home, agriculture and professional use, serving as tools for work and as cutlery and silverware.

All knives commercialised by TRAMONTINA are lawful to possess, provided that the purchaser is at least 18 years of age and uses them exclusively for their intended and lawful purposes.
